How to play Recall Grid
A few tiles light up on the glass grid and then go dark. Tap the same tiles to clear the level. Get them all and the next pattern has more tiles, then a bigger grid, from 3 by 3 with three tiles up to 7 by 7 with sixteen. A wrong tap costs one of your three hearts, shows the tiles you missed and drops you back one level.
The round ends when the hearts run out or when you clear the last level. Your Memory Span is the largest pattern you recalled in that round, and it sets your tier, from Goldfish through Squirrel, Dolphin and Elephant up to Photographic.
Five modes
Classic asks for every lit tile, in any order. As you earn XP, more modes open: Sequence at level 2 wants the exact order the tiles lit up, Reverse at level 4 wants that order backwards, Colors at level 6 adds two to four colors to remember with the tiles, and Moving at level 8 turns the grid 90 degrees before you answer. Harder modes pay more points.
Each mode keeps its own best score and best span. A mode that is still locked can be tried for one round after a short ad, and out of hearts, a short ad can give you one more, once per round.
Tips and tricks
- See shapes, not squares. A line, a corner or an L is easier to hold than six single tiles.
- Each tile plays its own note, so in Sequence and Reverse the little tune helps you keep the order.
- In Moving, remember the shape first, then turn it in your head the same way the grid turns.
- During a level you can watch a short ad to see the pattern again, twice per round, but that level then does not count toward your span. Skip it and you get nothing, but the button stays so you can try again.
