Controls

Drag anywhere above the launcher to aim and release to shoot. Tap the next bubble to swap it with the one you are holding, and tap the Bomb button to load a bomb. Keys: Left and Right arrows aim, Space, Up or Enter shoots, S, X or Down swaps, B loads the bomb. P or Esc pauses.

How to play Bubble Burst

Drag above the launcher and a dotted line shows where the bubble will go, bounces off the side walls included. Let go to shoot. When the bubble lands next to two or more of the same colour, the whole group pops. Any bubbles that were hanging from that group lose their hold and fall, and falling bubbles score double.

Each level gives you a set number of shots. You lose if you run out of shots before the goal is met, or if the bubbles creep down too close to the launcher. Tap the waiting bubble to swap it with the one you are about to fire when the colour is wrong.

Goals, special bubbles and candy worlds

Every level has one goal: clear the top row, free a number of trapped critters, or reach a target score. There are 72 levels in six candy worlds of 12, from Strawberry Fields to Grape Galaxy. In some levels the ceiling drops one row every few shots, so the wall gets closer the longer you take. Shots you do not use are worth 100 points each at the end, and your score sets one to three stars.

Special bubbles help and hinder. A bomb blasts the bubbles around it, a lightning bubble clears its whole row, a rainbow bubble matches any colour and a stone never pops, it only falls. Later levels add ice, which only thaws when you pop something next to it, and chameleon bubbles that change colour after every shot.

Tips and tricks

• Aim for the bubbles that hold others up. Dropping a big cluster scores far more than popping the same bubbles one group at a time.
• Drop six or more bubbles in one shot and your next bubble is a rainbow, which matches anything.
• Use the wall. A bank shot can reach a gap that a straight shot cannot.
• Once per level you can watch a short ad to load a bomb for a free shot, and if you run out you can watch one for five more bubbles. Skip it and you get nothing, but the button stays so you can try again.
