Tap or click an answer. The Hint and +10 s buttons sit under the puzzle. Keys: 1 to 6 pick an answer, H asks for a hint, T adds time. After a wrong answer, Enter or R takes the second chance and Space or N skips it. P or Esc pauses.

How to play Brain Sprint

A round is ten puzzles, two of each kind: complete the pattern grid, find the next number in a sequence, pick the odd one out, spot the same shape turned around, and finish an analogy of the form A is to B as C is to what. Each puzzle has its own short timer, and a quick right answer scores more than a slow one. Right answers in a row add a streak bonus.

The difficulty follows you. Answer fast and the next puzzle steps up a level. Miss, and it eases off. After ten puzzles you get a Brain Score from 70 to 160, a tier from Novice to Genius, and a breakdown of how you did in each category.

Modes, levels and the daily challenge

Every round earns XP, and XP raises your level. Classic is open from the start. Level 3 opens Daily, a set of puzzles that is the same for everyone on a given date, and level 5 opens Genius, which starts harder and gives less time per puzzle. The results screen shows your trend over recent rounds, and a short ad there can double the XP from that round.

The Brain Score is a for-fun scale built from accuracy, puzzle level and speed. It is not a clinical IQ test.

Tips and tricks

• Read a pattern grid both ways. The rule can change along the rows, down the columns or both.
• In a number sequence, check the gaps between the numbers, then the gaps between the gaps.
• A miss resets your streak and lowers the next puzzle's level, so a careful answer beats a fast guess.
• Stuck? You can watch a short ad to remove two wrong answers or to add 10 seconds, each twice per round. Skip it and you get nothing, but the button stays so you can try again.
