How to play Museum Heist
Each level is a floor of the museum at night. You move one tile at a time. After every step, wait or throw, the guards take one step on their patrol, cameras turn and some lasers switch on or off. End a turn inside a flashlight or camera cone, on an active laser, or on the same tile as a guard, and you are caught.
Grab the painting, then walk to the EXIT. Plants and statues hide you from cones while you stand on them. Keycards open red doors. The noise maker throws up to four tiles and lures the nearest guard to where it lands, staring the way he came.
Levels, par and stars
There are 24 floors, from Night Shift and Back Corridor through Laser Gallery, Security Office and The Rotunda to The Masterpiece. Early rooms are a single guard in a corridor. Later ones mix cameras, timed lasers, locked staff doors and two patrols at once.
Every floor has a par number of moves. Finish at or under par for three stars, a little over for two, and any clean getaway for one. Levels unlock one after another, and the level list shows your stars. You get one free undo per floor.
Tips and tricks
- Wait is a real move. Standing still for a beat lets a guard walk past a doorway you need.
- Hide on a plant just before a camera turns toward you, then step out when it looks away.
- Throw the noise maker past a guard, not at his feet, so he walks off the path you want.
- Stuck? Watch a short ad for a hint that points at the next step of a real solution, up to three per floor, or to draw every guard's patrol on the map. If you are caught, an ad undoes the last move once. Skip an ad and you get nothing, but the button stays so you can try again.
FAQ
Is Museum Heist free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Swipe or tap a neighbouring tile to move, tap yourself to wait, and use the buttons under the floor for undo, hints and the level list.
Do lasers stay on?
No. Some beams are on during even turns and off during odd ones, and others do the opposite. The timer on the floor tells you when a beam will switch.
