Hold your finger or the mouse button to rev at the start lights, then tap or click to shift up. Tap the round nitro button to fire nitro. Keys: hold Space, Enter, Up or W to rev and press it to shift; N, Shift, Right or D fires nitro. P or Esc pauses.
How to play Drag Duel
Each race is a quarter-mile duel against one rival. At the start lights, hold to rev and keep the needle inside the green zone. When the last light turns green, the car launches by itself. Revs in the zone give a perfect launch. Too few revs bog the engine, and too many spin the tires.
Once you are moving, tap to shift up each time the shift lights flash green. A perfect shift gives a short boost, a good one a smaller boost, and an early or late shift costs time. You have five gears and one shot of nitro per race. Fire it right after a clean shift for a stronger perfect nitro.
Leagues, the garage and faster cars
The career has 24 rivals in four leagues: Street, Club, Pro and Legend. Each league has six races, and the sixth rival is the league boss. Beat a rival for the first time to earn the full prize and open the next race. A rematch against someone you already beat pays less, and a loss still pays a small entry bonus.
Spend your cash in the garage. Engine, gearbox, nitro and tires each have five upgrade levels, and the car shop has six more cars after your starting hatchback, opening league by league. A win earns up to three stars: one for the win, one for a perfect launch and one for three or more perfect shifts.
Tips and tricks
- Watch the needle, not the lights. Settle into the green zone early and hold it there until the launch.
- Shift on the flash. Sitting on the rev limiter loses more time than an early shift.
- Save nitro for the moment after a clean shift. Fired in first gear, it is much weaker.
- After a win you can watch a short ad to double the prize, and after a loss to race again with an extra nitro. Skip it and you get nothing, but the button stays so you can try again.

Your revs were outside the green launch zone when the light turned green. Too low and the engine bogs, too high and the tires spin. Tire upgrades make the zone wider.
