Press and drag anywhere on touch screens or with a mouse to steer toward your finger. On a keyboard use the arrow keys or WASD, and Space to drift. P or Esc pauses.

How to play Heist Getaway

You are the driver of a getaway car in a top-down city. Cash bags and gold bars are scattered along the roads, and an arrow at the edge of the screen points to the nearest one. Drive through them to pocket the cash; a bag is worth $100 to $500, and a gold bar is worth $1000.

The cops start chasing you almost at once. They bump and ram your car, and your car health bar drops with every hit. When it hits zero you are wrecked. Stop moving while cops hem you in and a busted meter fills up; if it fills, you are busted and the run is over.

Wanted level and combos

Your wanted level goes up over time, and grabbing loot raises it faster. Each star brings more cops. From two stars, spike strips appear on the road ahead, and from three stars the cops set up roadblocks of cones that you have to smash through or go around.

Chain pickups within five seconds of each other to build a combo. Each pickup in the chain multiplies its value, up to ×4, so a quick string of bags is worth far more than the same bags collected slowly.

Tips and tricks

• Keep moving. The busted meter only fills while you are nearly stopped with a cop right beside you, so pick a road and drive.
• Follow the arrow to the next bag, but check the road ahead for spike strips and roadblocks before you commit.
• Drift around corners to keep your speed up and shake off cops that are right behind you.
• Gold bars are worth ten times a small bag, but they also push your wanted level up faster. Decide whether the risk is worth it.
• After a wreck or a bust you can watch a short ad once per run to repair the car and shake off nearby cops.
