How to play Shadow Swap
The screen is split in two. On top, your runner races through a warm, sunlit world. Below, its shadow runs upside down through a mirrored dark world. They share one button: every tap makes both of them jump.
Crystal shards stick out of the ground in both worlds, and hanging slabs wait overhead. You have to clear the shards and stay under the slabs for both characters at the same time, and the shadow is floaty: it stays in the air longer than you do.
Portals and orbs
Every so often you run through a portal and the worlds swap places, so the dark side ends up on top. The obstacles keep coming, but your eyes have to find the runner again.
Glowing orbs float above some shards. Jump through one for +10 points. The speed keeps rising the further you run, so the score is really a measure of how long you can keep both runners alive.
Tips and tricks
- Watch the shadow more than the runner: its longer jump is usually the one that lands on a shard.
- Short, early taps work better than late ones once the speed picks up.
- Right after a portal, look for the runner first and only then for the next obstacle.
- After a crash you can watch a short ad to revive with a three-second shield.
