How to play Echo Bat
The cave is completely dark. Send a sonar pulse and a ring of sound sweeps forward, lighting up the walls and crystals it touches for a moment before they fade to black again.
Steer the bat up and down through the tunnel. The cave walls and the pink crystals are deadly, and the tunnel gets narrower the further you fly, so you have to remember what the last echo showed you.
Pulses and moths
Pulses are limited. They recharge slowly, so firing them all at once leaves you flying blind. Glowing moths flutter through the cave: catch one and you get a pulse back.
If you run out, the ▶ +3 pulses button in the top bar gives you three more after a short ad, up to twice per run. After a crash you can also revive with three extra pulses.
Tips and tricks
- Pulse just before a bend, not in the middle of it: you want to see the turn while you still have room to steer.
- Move in small steps. Big swings are how bats meet walls.
- A moth is almost always worth a small detour.
- When the cave narrows, pulse a little more often; saving pulses matters less than seeing the gap.
