How to play Tower Drop
A ball bounces up and down on top of a tall tower made of stacked rings. You never move the ball. You turn the tower instead, so that a gap in the ring sits under the ball and it drops to the next ring down. Reach the plain finish plate at the bottom to clear the level.
Plain tiles are safe to bounce on. Red tiles are not: land on one and the run ends. Each ring you fall through scores more than the last as long as you keep falling, and drop through three rings in a row without a bounce and the ball turns into a fireball that smashes straight through the next ring, red tiles and all.
Levels and new tiles
Levels keep going as long as you do. Each one is a longer tower with fewer gaps and more red, and the scenery changes through eight looks, from Candy Night to Emerald Cave. New pieces arrive along the way. From level 2 gems float in some gaps for bonus points. Rings that slide back and forth start at level 3, cracked tiles that crumble into a gap after one bounce at level 4, springs that launch you high at level 6, red tiles that are only deadly while they are lit at level 9, and rings that spin on their own at level 12.
A cleared level earns two stars, or three if you smashed at least one ring with a fireball. The game remembers the furthest level you have reached and starts you there.
Tips and tricks
- Turn the tower while the ball is high in its bounce. You have the most time to line up the gap before it comes down.
- Look one ring ahead. A gap that drops you onto red is worse than one more bounce on a safe tile.
- Go for fireballs. Three quick drops in a row clear a dangerous ring for you and are the only way to earn three stars.
- After a splat you can watch a short ad to remove the red tile you hit and keep going from the same spot. Skip it and you get nothing, but the button stays so you can try again.
