Hold anywhere on the water to charge a cast and let go to throw. Tap as soon as the bobber shows a bite to set the hook, then hold to reel and let go to ease the tension. The buttons at the bottom open the fish book, the tackle shop, the map and the golden bait. Keys: hold Space to charge and release to cast, tap Space to hook, hold Space to reel. P or Esc pauses.
How to play Reel Frenzy
Hold to charge the cast and release to throw. A longer cast lands further out, where bigger and rarer fish swim. Then wait. The bobber twitches a few times before a real bite, and tapping on a twitch scares the fish off. When the bite comes, tap quickly to set the hook.
Hold to reel. While you hold, the line tension climbs, and it falls when you let go. Keep the needle in the green zone and the fish comes in. Let it sit at the top too long and the line snaps. Leave it slack for a couple of seconds and the fish swims away. Fish that jump need you to let go, and heavy divers make long runs.
Six waters and the fish book
There are 56 species in five rarities, from common to legendary, spread across the Lake, River, Sea, Ice Hole, Mangrove and Coral Reef. Sell each catch for coins and spend them on new fishing spots. Each new spot pays more per fish than the last. The fish book shows every species you have found and your biggest catch of each.
The tackle shop has four upgrades with eight levels each: the rod widens the green zone, the reel brings fish in faster, the line survives tension spikes and the bait brings faster bites and rarer fish. The world has a day and night cycle, and some fish only bite after dark. Rain makes fish bite faster.
Tips and tricks
- Cast into the bubbling patches. A feeding frenzy brings quicker bites and rarer fish.
- Do not tap on the first twitch. Wait for the bite before you hook.
- Ease off when the needle climbs and hold again as it drops. Short holds beat one long pull.
- Rewarded ads are optional: golden bait for three casts with rarer fish, double value on a catch every few fish, or one retry when the line snaps. Skip one and you get nothing, but the button stays so you can try again.

Why does my line keep snapping?
The tension stayed at the top of the gauge too long. Let go as soon as the needle leaves the green, and always let go when a fish jumps. A better line and rod from the shop make it more forgiving.
