How to play Lucky Lake Fishing
A rod hangs over the lake with a worm on the hook. Hold to lower the hook and let go to pull it back up, moving left and right to aim. When the hook touches a fish, it bites and the line reels it up to the shore on its own. You bring in one catch at a time, and heavy fish come up more slowly than small ones.
Each level gives you 60 seconds and a target score. A sunfish is worth 10 points, a bluegill 15, a bass 25, a big carp 50 and the rare golden fish 100. Big carp swim deep near the bottom, and golden fish are small and fast. Reach the target before the timer runs out to clear the level. Score 1.3 times the target for two stars and 1.6 times for three. The star marks on the score bar show how close you are.
30 levels, junk, eels, shy fish and currents
There are 30 levels. The target starts at 80 points and climbs to 455 on the last one, while the fish swim faster and more of them fill the lake. From level 3 old boots and cans drift through the water, and hooking one costs 20 points for a boot or 10 for a can. From level 7 electric eels swim in the deeper water. If one touches your hook, the line is shocked, the hook is stunned for a moment and whatever it was carrying gets away.
From level 12 some fish are shy and dart off when the hook comes close. From level 18 currents push the hook sideways in deep water, so you have to aim against them. Every ten levels the light over the lake changes, from midday to golden afternoon to sunset. Clearing a level opens the next one, and you can replay any open level from the level list to earn more stars.
Tips and tricks
- Go deep for big carp. Each one is worth five sunfish, but it takes much longer to reel up, so do not start one with two seconds left.
- Golden fish are too fast to chase. Drop the hook in front of their path and let them swim into it.
- The deeper the hook, the more slowly it follows your aim. Line up above a fish before you drop, not on the way down.
- Look for boots, cans and eels before you drop. The hook takes the first thing it touches, and an eel can cost you a fish on the way up.
FAQ
Is Lucky Lake Fishing free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Hold a finger on the screen to drop the hook and slide it left or right to aim. The lake is laid out for a phone held upright, and no keyboard is needed.
Why did my fish get away?
An electric eel touched your hook. The shock frees whatever you were carrying and stuns the hook for a moment. Eels appear from level 7, so keep the hook clear of them while a fish is coming up.
