Find the right order and slide every arrow out.

Controls

Tap or click an arrow to send it sliding forward. The buttons under the board open the level list, restart the level and give a hint. On a keyboard, H asks for a hint and R restarts the level. P or Esc pauses.

How to play Arrow Escape

Every level is a picture made of arrows. Each arrow is a bent line with a head at one end. Tap an arrow and it slides forward in the direction its head points, with the rest of its body following along the same path. If nothing is in the way, it leaves the board.

If another arrow sits anywhere in its path, the arrow bumps into it, slides back to where it was and you lose a heart. You have three hearts per level. Clear every arrow to finish the picture; lose all three hearts and the level is over.

Shapes, stars and levels

There are 60 levels. The first two are small squares, and after that the boards cycle through 13 shapes: heart, circle, diamond, star, cat, ring, house, hexagon, butterfly, plus, moon, drop and tree. Boards grow from a 4 by 4 grid to 22 by 22, and the arrows get longer and twistier, from 6 arrows on the first level to 65 on the busiest.

Your stars equal the hearts you have left when the last arrow escapes, so a level with no crashes earns three stars. Each cleared level unlocks the next one, and the level list shows your stars for every level you have played.

Tips and tricks

  • Follow the line straight out from an arrow head. The arrow can escape only if that whole line, all the way to the edge, is empty.
  • Start with arrows on the outside of the shape. Clearing them opens paths for the arrows in the middle.
  • You cannot get stuck. Removing an arrow only ever opens space, so there is always at least one arrow that can escape.
  • Stuck anyway? Tap Hint and watch a short ad to make an arrow that can escape glow blue. You get up to three hints each time you play a level.
  • If you run out of hearts, you can watch a short ad once per try to refill all three and carry on, or retry the level for free.

FAQ

Is Arrow Escape free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account.

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Tap an arrow with your finger to slide it out. The buttons under the board open the level list, restart the level and give hints.

Why did I lose a heart?

The arrow you tapped had another arrow somewhere in front of its head, so it crashed and slid back. Check the full line in front of an arrow before you tap it.

Is my progress saved?

Your unlocked levels and the stars for each level are saved in your browser on this device. When you come back, the level list opens so you can carry on where you left off.
