Tap a card to flip it. Tap the pack chip to change animals. Keys: arrows choose a card, Space flips it. P or Esc pauses.
How to play Safari Pairs
The cards lie face down. Tap one to flip it, then tap another. If the animals match, they walk off into the scene together and those cards stay open. If they do not match, they turn back over.
Clear every pair to finish the round. There is no timer and no wrong-answer limit, so a child can take as long as they like. The pack chip at the top switches the animals between the savanna, the farm and the ocean.
Packs
Each pack is a new set of animals and a new background, with the same rules. A finished pack remembers that you cleared it on this device. Sound can be turned down from the pause button if the room is quiet.
Tips for grown-ups
- Name the animal out loud when it flips. The picture is the puzzle, the word is a bonus.
- Start with a smaller pack if two rows feel like a lot.
- The arrows and Space work on a keyboard, handy if a tap is hard to aim.
- A round can offer a short ad for a hint that flips one match. Skip it and nothing happens, and the button stays.
