Hold the mouse, a finger or the Up arrow (or W) to fire the burner. Press Space to drop mail, B to drop a sandbag and the Down arrow (or S) to vent gas. P or Esc pauses.
How to play Balloon Voyager
You cannot steer the balloon sideways. Instead, every altitude has its own wind, and arrows on the left of the screen show which way each layer blows and how strongly. Hold the burner to rise into a layer, release to sink into another, and let the wind carry you toward the next island.
When the mailbox is coming up, drop a mail sack. A dotted arc shows where it will land, and it turns green when it is on target. Deliver every sack on the route to finish the level.
Routes, hazards and gas
There are 15 routes, from Harbor Hop to Last Post. Each one adds more mail, stronger winds and more hazards: birds, storm clouds with lightning, and mountains. You have three hull points, and the sea is not forgiving: touching the water ends the flight straight away.
The burner uses gas. Floating gas cans give you 25% back and every delivery gives you 15%. You also carry a few sandbags: drop one for a quick lift. Each route is scored up to three stars, and finish a route to unlock the next one on the world map.
Tips and tricks
- Read the wind arrows before you fly. If you overshoot a mailbox, look for a layer that blows back the other way.
- Do not hold the burner all the time. Short bursts save gas and give you finer control over your height.
- Sacks are limited to a couple more than the mailboxes on the route, so aim for the green arc instead of dropping and hoping.
- For three stars, finish without losing hull and without a missed drop. If a flight goes wrong you can watch a short ad for an extra sandbag (up to twice per route) or to patch up and revive once.

Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Hold anywhere on the screen to fire the burner and tap the on-screen buttons to drop mail or a sandbag.
Why can’t I steer the balloon?
That is the challenge. The only way to change direction is to change altitude, because each height has its own wind. Find the layer that blows the way you want to go.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. The routes you have unlocked and the stars you earned are saved in your browser on this device.
What happens when the balloon crashes?
You can retry the route straight away, or watch a short ad once per attempt to patch up the balloon and fly on from where you were.
